We are seeking a skilled and motivated Panel Technician to join our clients' team at their site in Liverpool. As a Panel Beater, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality vehicle repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction through precision and attention to detail. Duties:
  • Perform panel repairs and replacements to company standards, Thatcham guidelines, and manufacturer protocols
  • Conduct welding with test welds and document results until repairs are complete
  • Use body filler and finish repairs with a 180-grade production paper for a smooth finish
  • Keep detailed records of parts required and communicate these to relevant departments
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, ensuring panels are stored safely and waste is disposed of appropriately
  • Protect vehicles from further damage during repairs, including masking open apertures and fitting seat and steering wheel covers
  • Store reusable parts securely in boxes or cages, avoiding damage and contamination
  • Report any damaged or defective parts immediately to the Estimator and Production Manager
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH standards, and BS 10125 repair standards
  • Use personal protective equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Technician, ideally IMI/ATA qualified
  • Strong bodyshop experience with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent team player with a strong work ethic
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred
