A reputable accident repair centre in Fareham, Hampshire, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator to join their professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to advance their career within a well-established operation committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties:
  • Accurately assess vehicle damage and generate detailed repair estimates in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and insurance companies to negotiate repair costs.
  • Control supplementary authorisation processes including parts and labour approval.
  • Generate repair orders, PAS documents, and manage repair procedures.
  • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records within the management system.
  • Verify estimates, ensure quality control, and oversee the repair process from start to finish.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure all repair work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in controlling the repair timeline and manage additional authorisations as required.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly recorded and passed on to relevant departments.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator within a busy accident repair environment.
  • ATA qualification as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle construction, safety features, and repair methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating systems such as Audatex and PAS 125 standards.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
