Are you an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a new opportunity to develop your career within a busy dealership?

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a well-established workshop, specialising in Commercial Vehicles in the Gateshead area. This position offers a competitive salary and excellent career progression in a supportive environment.

  • 40-hour working week Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • Modern workshop equipped with the latest technology
Duties as a Commercial Vehicle Technician will include:
  • Conducting vehicle health checks and diagnostics on Ford Commercial Vehicles
  • Performing vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Fitting accessories and additional customer-requested modifications
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
  • Identifying and reporting any additional work required during inspections
  • Ensuring all warranty repairs and aftersales work meet manufacturer guidelines
  • Road testing vehicles to verify faults are rectified accurately
  • Completing all paperwork diligently and to a high standard
Requirements that the Commercial Vehicle Technician will need:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle repair
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage
  • Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and follow manufacturer procedures
