  • Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum with a bonus scheme providing an uncapped earning potential of £50,000+
  • Hours: 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm required on a rota basis. The frequency of Saturday working is negotiable.

Our client, a large multi-franchise-approved car dealer group operating since 1994, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to join their Cheltenham dealership and drive it forward.

Reporting to the Service Manager and supporting a team of 6 to 7 Vehicle Technicians, and 3 Service Advisors, you will be a proactive member of our client’s management team, assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the aftersales department. You will help ensure complete customer satisfaction through the effective utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of labour, while supporting the Service Manager in maintaining high operational standards.

The successful Assistant Service Manager will live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham and have strong recent or current experience working as an Assistant Service Manager, Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Controller, or in a similar aftersales management role within a medium to large franchise-approved car dealership. You will need to be effective in supporting and motivating colleagues, with the drive and determination to help maintain policies that continually improve customer satisfaction and our client’s reputation. You will also need to be IT literate and hold a UK driving licence with minimal points.
