Automotive Tool Maker Required for Automotive Production Company 

Are you an experienced Tool Maker looking to specialise within the automotive industry? We are currently seeking a skilled or recently graduated Tool Maker to join a well-established automotive production company based in Liss, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a renowned organisation with a strong legacy in vehicle restoration and manufacturing.

As a Tool Maker - Automotive Production, you will play a vital role in manufacturing components and assemblies in line with drawing specifications, supporting the continued success of a respected business that supplies exclusive parts and services to the historic vehicle community. This position offers a chance to develop your skills within a specialised workshop environment that values craftsmanship, precision, and quality.

  • Competitive basic salary range depending on experience of £32,450 - £40,560 per annum

Duties:
  • Manufacture components and assemblies using manual milling, turning, surface grinding, and bench fitting techniques
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
  • Support vehicle workshop with modifications of parts and assemblies as required
  • Inspect first-offs and batch runs to maintain quality standards
  • Operate additional production machinery with proper guidance or training provided
  • Keep workspace clean and ensure all production records are accurately maintained
  • Assist with the disassembly, assessment, and re-assembly of vehicle sub-assemblies
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship trained in engineering or tooling
  • Proven expertise in toolroom techniques and manual machining processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Proactive approach and ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Experience with gearboxes and differentials is desirable
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar Tool Maker role
