Our manufacturing client, that designs, develops manufactures specialist products for the FMCG sectors, is actively looking for an experienced HR Manager.
Human Resources Manager Package:
- £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

- 08:30 - 16:30

The role of HR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategy in line with the overall business strategy and UK legislation. The role incorporates provision of a professional and efficient HR generalist management and administration service to all functions within the business.
Main Areas of Responsibility for a Human Resources Manager:
- Overall responsibility and compliance with Health and Safety directives ensuring a Zero Accident culture
- HR strategy in line with the company global and UK business strategy
- Design and implementation of company policies that meet the organisational needs, legislation and promotion of a healthy working environment
- Monitor and reporting of HR metrics including turnover rates, absence and training
- Manage employee compensation and benefits to ensure fairness and equitability to reflect employee recognition and meet recruitment and long-service requirements
- Oversee and manage the performance management process including appraisals and goal setting to drive high performance
- Organise learning and development programmes and training courses to meet employees career development and succession planning
- Oversee disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings
- Ensure legal compliance through Human Resource Management
- Co-ordination of recruitment including preparation of job descriptions and person specs, advertising, managing the recruitment process, interviewing and selection process.
- Provide total HR administration service and maintenance of employee files
- Responsible for providing payroll information to finance and checking monthly payroll
- Responsible for recording and monitoring employee absence, managing Bradford Factors and occupational health
- Oversee and ensure on-boarding and induction process is followed for all staff
- Manage the employee exit programme
- Provide advice for Managers and employees to promote motivation and manage employee relations
- Member of the Health and Safety team to promote wellness, health and safety for all employees
- Work with the Quality Team to ensure policies and procedures comply with ISO and BRC.
- Number of Health and Safety Accidents/ Incidents, behavioural safety observations.
- Complete all reporting on time and in full
- Implement the HR strategy required in order to meet business objectives
- Succession planning and team development targets
- Meet annual budget for training and recruitment
- Legislation and policy compliance
- Fulfil actions on time and in full.
- CIPD qualification essential
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience
- HR generalist, working in a sole position for HR
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
- Health and Safety knowledge
- Knowledge of ISO/BRC advantageous
- Previous experience of working within HR for a manufacturing / FMCG company would be an advantage
- IT literate with experience of MS Office and HR systems
- Provision of full administration requirements.
