Are you a skilled Panel Beater with a passion for modern vehicles and an interest in classic car restoration?

With 30 years of history and four original team members still on board, our client is a trusted name in both modern vehicle repairs and Classic Car Restorations. 

Our client believes modern panel beaters can easily adapt to classic and vintage cars due to their larger tolerances. If you’re excited about working on modern vehicles with some classic car panel beating duties, blending power and precision, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Panel beating and finishing for modern vehicles, with some classic car restoration work, including quarter panels and full rebuilds.
  • Estimating time and costs for bespoke panel and paint work.
  • Conducting rust repairs, chassis work, and accident damage repairs on both modern and classic vehicles.
  • Performing MIG, TIG, and gas welding to a high standard.
  • Preparing vehicles for bodywork and paintwork.
  • Collaborating with two in-house chassis fabricators to ensure efficient and safe workshop operations.
  • Occasionally liaising with customers to discuss work in progress or potential projects.
  • Representing the company professionally at trade shows and exhibitions (when required).
Key Skills:
  • Expertise in aluminum and steel body repair and welding.
  • Panel fabrication and rust repairs
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and gas welding to a high standard.
  • Experience with new panel fitment and adjustment.
  • Chassis and accident damage repair.
  • Ability to work on modern vehicles with some experience or adaptability for classic car tolerances.
  • Bonus: Painting or mechanical skills (not mandatory).
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in panel beating for modern vehicles, with some exposure to or interest in classic car restoration.

What We Offer:
  • Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible 40-42.5 hour week with 30-60 min lunch break).
