About Our Client Our client operates an independent service centre that stands apart from typical “fast-fit” garages. They focus on delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs with a straightforward, customer-centric approach. Their services include:

  • Routine servicing and maintenance

  • Advanced diagnostics

  • General repairs (brakes, suspension, exhausts, etc.)

  • Tyre fitting and wheel alignment

  • Air conditioning servicing

  • And much more!


The workshop is a VOSA-approved Class 4 MOT testing station, maintaining a clean, organised, and professional environment for both staff and customers. Our client is looking for a Vehicle Technician to help deliver exceptional service and support the growth of their loyal customer base.
 

The Role The successful Vehicle Technician will play a key role in ensuring customers’ vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.

  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to meet safety and performance standards.

  • Fitting tyres, brakes, and other components with precision.

  • Carrying out air conditioning servicing and re-gassing.

  • For candidates with an MOT licence, conducting Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards (MOT qualification is not essential, and training can be provided for the right candidate).

  • Maintaining a tidy workspace and upholding the company’s high standards of professionalism.

Our client seeks a technician who is passionate about their work and ready to contribute to the business’s success. The role involves working on a diverse range of vehicles, from family cars to light commercial vans, using modern tools and diagnostic equipment in a well-equipped workshop.

About the Candidate Our client is looking for a Vehicle Technician who:

  • Has proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred, though experience is paramount).

  • Possesses strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.

  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Works well within a small, collaborative team while also being capable of independent tasks.

  • Demonstrates a friendly and approachable demeanour, aligning with the company’s honest, no-pressure ethos.

  • Holds a valid UK driving licence (essential).

  • Desirable: An MOT Tester licence is a bonus but not mandatory. Our client is willing to support the right candidate in obtaining this qualification if desired.
