MOT Tester Required in Birmingham
  • Basic Salary: Up £34,000
  • OTE: £38,000+
  • Hours:  Monday to Friday 8:30am -5:30pm Plus alternate Saturday mornings (8:30am tli 2pm)
Our client is a well-established, family-run business seeking an MOT Tester to join their dedicated team. This is a garage that truly values and supports its staff.

They are ideally looking for an MOT Tester, and if you’re also able to carry out basic service work, it would significantly strengthen your application.

The ideal MOT Tester candidate will have the following: 
  • You must have a valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence with DVSA and have an up-to-date annual training record and passed the assessment.
  • Previous experience working  as a Motor Vehicle Technician would be beneficial, but not essential as brand training will be provided.
  • Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality
  • Full Driving licence.
As an MOT Tester for our client, you will get the following:
  • Basic Salary up to £34,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
  • OTE  £38,000+

As an MOT Tester, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines and regulations
  • Accurately identifying and reporting vehicle faults and defects
  • Performing basic servicing and maintenance work when required (If you are a Technician)  
  • Ensuring all vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for each MOT test
  • Communicating clearly with customers and colleagues about any issues found
  • Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Supporting the wider workshop team as needed.
