Our client, a successful and respected automotive Main Dealer in the Oldbury area, is currently looking to recruit a Service Advisor to join their busy and friendly team.
Service Advisor Key Responsibilities
As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary contact for customers, providing clear communication and expert advice on vehicle servicing and repairs. You’ll manage the customer journey from booking to collection, ensuring every customer feels informed and valued. Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and advising customers professionally, either in person or by phone
- Managing service appointments and vehicle progress updates
- Coordinating with workshop technicians to track job status and timelines
- Offering additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth
- Handling queries and resolving any issues promptly to maintain a positive customer experience
- Your role is vital in ensuring customers return time and again, driven by your exceptional service and knowledge.
We welcome applicants with a strong customer service background, whether or not you’ve worked specifically as a Service Advisor before. Key qualities for success in this role include:
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and building rapport
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
- Experience in retail or hospitality is beneficial, along with any familiarity with dealership software (e.g., Kerridge)
