Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 17:30, 
Saturdays on a rota, with a with a Day off in the week when working on Saturdays

MOT Tester required one of our client's Ashford branches. Our Client is a multi-site garage, seeking a Technician ideally with an MOT licence to assist with the added duties following increased volume at the site.

This role would suit individuals with prior experience as a Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity in a thriving workshop to support with their added workload.

Duties of a MOT Tester with our Client
  • Ensuring the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Complete MOTs in line with DVSA guidelines and within allocated times established by the client
  • Completing light servicing, MOT repair work and diagnostics
  • Complete fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
  • Fitting brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical products
  • Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations
  • Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process
  • To maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
  • Making customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customer’s vehicle
What our Client expects of their MOT Testers
  • MOT Testing licence is essential
  • Full valid UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in the servicing of vehicles, MOT repair work and diagnostics - Brakes, suspension, exhausts, cambelts etc
  • Ideally an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in a professional workshop environment
  • The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • The willingness to constantly learn and improve your knowledge
  • The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work
