Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a role within a well-established, reputable independent garage in Uckfield, East Sussex? We are recruiting on behalf of our client to find a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their professional and friendly team. This business has a proud history of over 40 years serving the local community and surrounding areas, including Eastbourne and Hastings, and has built a strong reputation for quality, honesty, and reliability.

Our client, an independent garage based in Uckfield, East Sussex, have developed into one of the most highly recommended MOT and automotive service centres in the region. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform a full range of automotive services and repairs on all makes and models of vehicles
  • Carry out routine servicing and repairs to high standards
  • Conduct MOT testing where applicable
  • Utilise diagnostic tools to identify faults and carry out accurate repairs
  • Maintain efficiency and quality without compromising safety
  • Complete Vehicle Health Checks and effectively communicate findings to the service department
  • Ensure all work is completed professionally, safely, and timely
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician:
  • Previous automotive repair experience with a strong work ethic
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or substantial time-served experience as a technician.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to colleagues and customers
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • MOT Testing licence is preferable but not essential
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is an advantage supported by certifications such as Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Technician.
  • Additional valued qualifications include Master Technician, Technician, and Fast Fit Technician experience.
