Classic Car Mechanic / Restoration Technician Required in the Woking, Surrey area 

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 Basic 
Pay: Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5PM - NO WEEKENDS 

Join a prestigious classic car restoration business in Woking, Surrey, as a Classic Car Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled motor engineer with a passion for vintage vehicles to bring their expertise to a renowned workshop. The role offers an attractive basic salary and excellent benefits, all within a supportive and passionate team environment.

  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am to 5pm, with no weekends

Duties

  • Conducting detailed restoration work on classic and vintage cars, including fabricating, welding, and full ground up restorations
  • Rebuilding suspensions and working on carburettors and other mechanical components
  • Performing full vehicle reconstructions, not simply bolt-on jobs
  • Using your expertise to deliver high-quality craftsmanship and precision
  • Supporting the workshop team with your knowledge and skills
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
Candidate spec

  • Proven experience as a motor engineer, with at least 5 years in a workshop environment
  • Strong background and knowledge in classic car restoration, including knowledge of carburettors and suspension rebuilds
  • Skilled in fabricating, welding, and detailed mechanical restorations
  • Passionate about vintage and classic vehicles with a keen eye for quality
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
