Accounts Assistant - Maternity Cover - 6 months, possibility of temp to perm for Car Dealer Group in Croydon

Pay: £32,000 - £36,000 Basic DOE 
Hours: 9am - 5pm  We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in Croydon.

This temporary role is set to last for six months for maternity cover, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

The successful applicant will support the accounting team with a variety of essential financial tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of a busy motor trade environment.

Benefits of a Accounts Assistant:
  • Competitive basic salary dependent on experience, ranging from £32,000 to £36,000 per annum
  • Full-time hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Duties of a Accounts Assistant:
  • Managing purchase ledger processes and supplier payments
  • Assisting with sales ledger duties and reconciling accounts
  • Posting cash and bank transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Conducting account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Providing general support to the accounts team as required
Requirements of a Accounts Assistant:
  • Proven experience with Sage 50 accounting software
  • Previous experience in purchase ledger and sales ledger roles
  • Strong organisational and reconciliation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Accurate and detail-oriented approach to work
