We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Technician to join a well-established collision repair centre in Uckfield, East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to advance their career within a reputable, professional environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience
  • Attractive bonus scheme offering potential OTE up to £52,000
  • Opportunity to work in a fully equipped, BSI and PAS approved workshop
  • 45-hour workweek with some flexibility on start times, most shift from 07:00 to 16:30, with official hours from 08:00 to 17:30
  • Overtime available on Saturday mornings at standard rate (£15 per hour or higher based on your standard rate)
  • Supportive team environment including a workshop controller and experienced technicians
Duties:
  • Prepare and paint vehicle vehicles to a high standard using the Octoral paint system and Rowley spray booth
  • Perform filler repairs and blending for a variety of repair types, including some panel and rear quarter work
  • Carry out standard corrosion repairs and refinishing tasks, primarily on conventional work rather than structural repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the workshop environment
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Paint Technician or Painter in a collision repair environment
  • Knowledge of Octoral paint systems and experience working with Rowley spray booths preferred
  • Ability to perform filler repairs and work on contemporary vehicle finishes
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work 45 hours a week with some overtime on Saturdays
