We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Advisor to join a leading independent specialist automotive garage based in Knutsford, Cheshire. This is a prime opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a dynamic and expanding automotive business renowned for working with prestige and high-performance brands. The successful Parts Advisor will play a key role in ensuring seamless workshop operations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties of the Parts Advisor:
  • Provide expert advice and support to technicians and clients regarding vehicle parts
  • Manage parts stock levels, place orders with approved suppliers, and track deliveries
  • Ensure correct allocation of parts to workshop jobs and accurate invoicing
  • Maintain an organised and efficient parts department
  • Support workshop operations by coordinating daily scheduling and workflow
  • Develop and sustain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels, control inventory, and manage warranty claims effectively
  • Minimise obsolete stock and produce reports related to stock, purchasing, and departmental performance
  • Keep accurate records of all parts transactions and movements
  • Contribute to departmental profitability and overall workshop efficiency
Requirements of the Parts Advisor:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an automotive parts department
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and supplier management
  • Experience with stock control and inventory management
  • Good IT skills with ability to undertake administrative tasks
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence
